Actress Whoopi Goldberg will return as host of the Oscars in March after taking a two-year break from the high-profile job, officials announced Monday.

The 74th annual Academy Awards ceremony March 24 will mark Goldberg's fourth turn at the helm, following stints in 1999, 1996 and 1994. She won an Oscar herself in 1991 for her supporting role as a clairvoyant in "Ghost."

Last year's Oscars were hosted by Steve Martin.
