Members of an aerial dance troup felt hurt by remarks from NBC's Bob Costas. And, many KSL viewers were upset as well.

You know, when we invite people to our homes, some of us just can't take it if one of the guests gets impatient, or points out some crumbs on the floor.

That's a little bit like what happened here. We invited the world, and one of the guests had a few things to say.

The phones at KSL have been busy. Callers want to know, and stacks of e-mail ask, "What's the deal with NBC's Bob Costas and his sarcasm?"

Our receptionist is hearing from "people thinking that he has been rude, is kind of arrogant."

OK, maybe we're all a bit hypersentitive. It's our first big weekend in the center stage of the world. Perhaps especially so for the aerial dance company performing nightly at the Medals Plaza.

Bob Costas seemed impatient as he waited for Olympic medals to be presented.

"I'm guessing they're not going to be doing this every night before every medals presentation. Otherwise, we'll just have to go straight to Athens," Costas said on the air Saturday night.

Moments later, there was this from Costas:

"You know, we're only about a six hour drive from Vegas. If Seigfreid and Roy come out next, I don't know what I'll do."

Members of the Anti Gravity dance group resented the comparison.

The group's president, Christopher Harrison, says, "We were a little disappointed in the coverage, needless to say."

Many of the dancers are athletes and former Olympians, unhappy now with how their big moment played on national tv.

"Very disappointed. Hurt, of course," said Anti Gravity group member Shelly Bomb.

Shane Geraghty added, "We've all been training very hard our whole lives to get to this level. So it was a little disappointing, you know. I'd like to see Bob Costas try to slide down a silk upside down, 40 feet up in the cold."

Of course, it's not an easy trick to ad lib hour after hour of sports coverage either, with tens of millions of people watching.

We didn't get a chance to talk to Bob Costas about it. But it's pretty obvious someone was misinformed about the timing of the medals ceremony. He had to roll with the punches.

And he's in a sport where millions of people get to be judges.
