Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Scott J. Christensen returned to his Heavenly Father on February 19, 2002 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 23, 1931 in Spanish Fork, Utah to G. Grant and Erma Jensen Christensen. He married Betty Nicol on February 5, 1955 and thru this marriage came three children: Terry, David and Johnny. They were later divorced. He married Judy Olson Mounteer on Sept. 27, 1975 and became a special father to her two children, Ben and Susan. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from RCA/G.E. following many years of service. His passions were fishing at Strawberry, working in his woodshop "Grandpa's Playhouse," mall walking with his buddy's Marv and Don, and family get-togethers.
He is survived by his wife; children: Terry, David (Kathy), Johnny (Lisa), Ben Mounteer and Susan (Pieter) Acocks; brother Roger (Sherry) and sister Margene (Larry) Johnson; sister-in-law LuDean Christensen; his wife's sisters Delores Stringham, Kay (Dick) Gates and 12 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers Richard and Boyd; and a grandson Austin.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23rd, at 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1950 E., where friends may call prior to the services beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
