After a long courageous battle, I decided to go with "J.C. and the Boy's" May 18, 2002.
I was born Nov 2, 1940 to Norma Ruby Hallett and Keith J. Bowen at Ft. Duchesne, UT. I spent my childhood years growing up in Uintah County and served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1961. I chose truck driving for my career. "Every Trucking Co. I drove for' went bankrupt."
On April 22, 1989 I married my childhood sweetheart, Billie Nelson Miller. We had such fun together, traveling, fishing, hunting, Nevada trips, playing cards, and most of all going Junking. "You want it - I find it" was my motto.
I am survived by my dear wife (my live-in nurse) Billie, Bountiful; three children from a previous marriage, Analisa (Randy) Palmer, Cordell (Diana) Bowen, SLC, and my side-kick, Tonna Lee Bowen, San Clemente, CA; grandchildren, Savanna, Sierra, Kate, Max; brother, Jack Bowen; sisters, Kaye Cheim, Sandra Bowen, Barbara Hoshmand; several nieces and nephews (I loved you all); and three aunts. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Billy; sister in-law, Cheryl Bowen; and father-in-law, Verland Nelson.
I am very grateful for my two loving stepsons and their families; Richard Miller (Cheryl) Houston, TX, and Derek Miller (Myra), Springville. UT. Bret, Aaron, Jeffrey, Elyssa, and our little Silas. "Gramps will be watching over you."
Thanks to my two "Main Men", Dr. Jan Freeman and Dr. Scott West. Also to my favorite nurse at Lakeview hospital - you know who you are.
