Our loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to all, Steven Barry Peterson, age 56, passed away May 24, 2002 at the West Jordan Care Cen-ter.
Born March 23, 1946 in Black-foot, ID son of Clifton Goold and Frances Ladora Newkirk Peterson. In his youth, Barry was very active in the special Pri-mary for the handicapped, Boy Scouts, and the Special Olympics. He loved music, bowling and family vacations. Barry loved everyone and they loved him. He had a great sense of humor, a sparkle in his eyes, and a sweet smile that made everyone feel happy. He lived at home with his parents until his health required that he go to the West Jordan Care Center for the last five years of his life.
Barry is survived by his mother, Frances; brothers, Kent (Sandra) Peterson, Kirk Peterson; sisters, Jolie (Pat) Cook, Janie (Robert) Coleman; many nieces and nephews who love him. Also a special friend, Christy Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton; and niece, Melissa.
Special thanks to the staff at the West Jordan Care Center who took care of Barry.
Services will be Tues. 12 noon, McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, where friends may call Tues. 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
