Our beloved Daniel (Dan) Robert Tidwell suddenly passed away on July 24, 2002 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He will be forever missed and cherished.
Dan was born on September 22, 1982 in Murray, Utah to his parents Verl David Tidwell and Catherine Evelyn Fitzsimmons. He was a talented hard worker who enjoyed serving others and having good times with his friends. Dan graduated from Cottonwood High School and Cottonwood LDS Seminary in June 2001. Since he was 12, Dan was the proud owner of his own business decorating homes at Christmas time which grew to later become known as Night Light Inc. in 1998. Dan "the light man" was the focus of many news articles and TV spots because of his creative decorating business. He also ran the snack bar at Cottonwood High's baseball stadium for many years. Dan enjoyed working with computers, installing stereo systems in cars for his friends, managing his business and social life with cell phones and palm pilots, and traveling around the world. He enjoyed working at Claires and Afterthoughts. His strong work ethic, energy, customer service, and pleasant attitude helped Dan succeed at everything he was involved with.
Despite his diabetic condition, Dan had a positive attitude and greatly excelled not only in school and business, but also as a volunteer assisting the Rotary Club, Community Partners of Delta Air Lines, Legacy Ski and Ride, Festival of Trees, and with many church projects. He was always willing to help others and to do a professional job for them.
Dan, your smiling face and fun personality will always be in our hearts. We will always be so proud of you, and we love you so very much! We will look forward to reuniting with you once again in Heaven.
