Donald Lee Weldin, 21 years old, returned to his Father in Heaven on Sept. 7, 2002, due to injuries from an accident.
Donald was born May 2, 1981 in West Valley City, Utah to Daniel Lee and Annette Rostenburg Weldin. He was bright, energetic and achieved a sense of independence at a young age. Those who knew him were touched by his good nature and his special spirit. He was quick to lend a helping hand, and his willingness and ability to help those in need was an incredible attribute. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed times spent in the outdoors with scouting and Aaronic Priesthood activities. Donald attended Cottonwood High School. While attending school, he began to work with his father at Wabash Trailers. Donald loved his work and especially loved working along side his dad. He was highly-valued as an employee; loved by his co-workers, and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his parents; a brother Derick Edward Weldin
(Taylorsville); two sisters Danielle Ann Weldin (Taylorsville) and Heather Sterr (Texas); his grandmother Phyllis Reynolds (Salt Lake City) and a nephew Kyle Mortensen (Taylorsville). He'll be missed by other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 12, at the LDS Bennion West Stake Center on 3555 W. 5620 S., Taylorsville. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will take place in the Valley View Memorial park at 4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley City, Utah.
