PROVO — Epixtech, a provider of information management systems and technologies for libraries, said Wednesday that it has relaunched its corporate identity and changed its name to Dynix.

The company said the new identity reflects its history as a leader in library automation and "symbolizes its unique ability to combine progressive technologies with library expertise."

Dynix's partnerships with libraries over two decades have included the launch of the Dynix integrated library system and the introduction of Horizon, the company's next-generation information management system. The company said its development efforts primarily will be focused on Horizon.

The company also said it planned to build on its role as an advocate for libraries. The first of these new programs will be introduced at this week's American Library Association Midwinter meeting in Philadelphia, it said.
