1940 ~ 2003

Clint Peters, 63, our sensitive and loving husband, father and grandfather, who fought a valiant battle with ill health, passed away on October 8, 2003. Through multiple surgeries and procedures, Clint approached them with continual dignity and a positive spirit.

Clint was born on July 22, 1940 in Tacoma, Washington to Cora and Jim Peters. The family remained there until Clint was seven years old when they moved to Southern California. It was not long before teachers were noting an exceptional talent beginning to emerge in Clint, and he eventually graduated from Art Center College of Design. But just prior to attending college he met Janet who he married on January 31, 1964. Together they shared a love of the ocean, sailing, traveling and painting on location in various areas in California.

Clint's professional career included working for many architectural companies, and eventually opening his own firm where he did space planning for many department stores throughout the country, including Weinstocks in Salt Lake City which he completed in 1979. On completion of the project, Clint and Janet decided to move from Pacific Palisades, California to Salt Lake City to finish raising their children. The following year Clint went into partnership with Keith Rockwood to form Rockwood Peters and Associates, which existed until 1996.

Clint is survived by his wife Janet and three children: Kevin, Trevor (Jody) and Allison (Ray), and four beloved grandchildren: Haley, Cole, Dawson and McKall. Clint always put his family first, and was involved in every aspect of their lives.
