Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Allen Ross Bell, 79, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah.
Allen was born July 15, 1924 in Fairview, Utah to Alexander Jackson and Sena Isabelle Hartley Bell, Sr. He married Elouise Davis on May 26, 1947 in Fairview, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on October 3, 1955.
Allen served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated his own coal business for over 46 years. He retired from Geneva Steel.
He and his wife, Elouise, loved gardening, and together they always had a beautiful yard. They enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Allen loved his family and liked spending time together with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings.
Allen is survived by his wife, Elouise, of Spanish Fork; his children: JoAnne Ferre, of Payson; Barbara (Frank) Cloward, of Spanish Fork; Dixie (David) Fronk, of Springville; Sharon (Clark) Koyle, of Santaquin; Kenneth (Sue) Bell, of Spanish Fork; Ronald (Pauline) Bell, of Spanish Fork; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children. He is also survived by two brothers: Glen Bell, of Spanish Fork; and Hugh (Ila) Bell, of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 16th Ward Chapel, 400 North 800 East. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery with military honors.
