Mikado, a Japanese restaurant, has opened in Cottonwood at 6572 S. Big Cottonwood Canyon Road.

The new restaurant has a 30-seat sushi bar. It also will feature a patio mister, which blows out a breeze of cool air so guests can enjoy patio dining in hot weather. The Mikado patio area is expected to open in late May.
