6/24/23 ~ 5/20/03
June Anderson Eddington, 79, dearly loved by all her family and friends, passed away Tuesday, 20 May 2003.
June was born 24 June1923 in Lehi, Utah, to Abraham Anderson and Lula May Dorton. She graduated from Lehi High School and attended BYU for one year. She received her R.N. after completing nurses training at LDS Hospital in 1945, where she served as president of her class for one year, and made several life long friends. She was a member of the U.S. Nurse Cadet Corp during World War II. She married E. Keith Eddington on 30 June 1944 in Alexandria, Louisiana. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple 3 November 1959. June worked for Dr. Elmo Eddington at the Lehi Hospital for a brief period before dedicating the rest of her life to raising her seven children.
She had a fun loving spirit, impulsively whisking all her kids to a drive-in movie or up to the family cabin, but also taught them how to work. She supported all of her children's activities, cheerfully driving them to lessons and attending countless performances, as well as nudging her boys through scouts. Each holiday was a fun family occasion that featured her wonderful cooking and famous potato salad.
June inherited her parents' musical gifts, being a skilled pianist and vocalist, and made sure her children had every chance to try their musical talents. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served faithfully as a visiting teacher, in leadership positions in all the women's auxiliaries, and as a stalwart member of the ward choir. Her nursing skills were generously used in service to her family and neighbors.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the patient and tender care given June while she resided at Highland Care Center.
June is survived by her husband, Keith; their children, Donald K. Eddington (Connie J.), Boston; Leslie J. Eddington Bautista (Lewis E.), Minneapolis; Eve L. Eddington Christensen (Jeffery B.), Corona Del Mar; Joan Eddington Young (Melvin S.), Salt Lake City; David L. Eddington (Cynthia L.), Denver; Karl A. Eddington (Jeri), St. George; John S.
