1921 ~ 2003

Robert (Bob) Johnston passed on to his loved ones on August 5, 2003, in Draper, Utah.

Bob was born March 19, 1921, in San Francisco, California, as the only child of Anna Berlin and Edwin Charles Johnston. After the death of his father, early in his life, he worked hard to support his mother. He attended night school and earned an associate degree, then joined the U.S. Coast Guard, and faithfully served his country, in the Merchant Marines, for the entire duration of World War II.

On March 17, 1946, he married the love of his life, JoAnn Turner. He worked 30 years, in various management positions for International Harvester, which later became Navistar. He loved family vacations, coin collecting, deep-sea fishing in his beloved San Francisco Bay, and especially his animals.
