Nancy Lee Hurt Kesler died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born Dec. 3, 1908 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elisha Young Hurt and Ida Lee Field Hurt.

Nancy grew up in Kansas City, graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she was affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega. She later moved to Hollywood and worked in the motion picture industry. A long time resident of Los Angeles, she was active in many charities and a member of the Westwood Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nancy was truly a member of the "greatest generation." Classy, stoic, determined, correct, unwavering, she persevered to the very end. She just did not know how to say good-by.

Survived by her son Henry and his wife Elizabeth, Holladay; five grandchildren: Kimberly (Craig) Chytraus, Heather (Trevor) DeVore, Cassidy (Matthew) Pinegar, Alisa, and Phillip; and great-grandson Jack Chytraus. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Kesler, her first son, Henry Smith Kesler, and her brother Wilfield Hurt.

Her family expresses its deep appreciation to the wonderful staff at the Highland Cove Health Care Center who lovingly and respectfully cared for Nancy.

A graveside service will be held for the family and friends at the Salt Lake City Cemetery on Friday, September 26, 2003 at 12:00 p.m.
