While polls indicate Democrat John Kerry may be gaining nationally, voters in Utah remain strongly in President Bush's camp. A new Deseret Morning News/KSL-TV poll shows Bush outpacing Kerry by 44 percentage points in Utah. The results are no surprise, as the state is known as one of the most Republican in the country, and a Democratic presidential candidate has not won the state since Lyndon Johnson did in 1964.
