Gerri Hunter died on November 22, 2004, at the age of 62.
She was born June 14, 1942, in Long Beach, CA to Carl and Lucile Benschneider. She grew up in Norwalk, California and graduated from Excelsior High in 1960. She also attended and graduated from Cerritos College. She moved to Utah in 1974 and has loved it ever since.
She was a loving woman who spent her life serving others. She worked at Zion's Securities for 23 years in human resources.
She participated and spearheaded several charity events as well as served in many volunteer positions.
She is survived by her loving husband Roger, as well as her children, Philip, Keyth, Marc, Darren, Ann-Marie, and Karl, and her brother Don and sisters Diane and Layne. Her 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive her.
The viewing will be on Friday from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the LDS chapel at 8600 S 1200 E, followed by the graveside service at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
