Robert Charles Lund III (Bob), passed away November 23, 2004 in Murray, Utah.
Born May 18th, 1935 in East Mill Creek, to Thomas Judd Lund and Margaret Burt. He married Carol Nash in 1953, later divorced. Married Heide Kerns in 1988. He attended Granite High School. Robert worked for Mt. Fuel Company for 26 years, then launched a second business career with many entrepreneurial successes. He enjoyed life to its fullest; often involved in pleasant competition like golf, bowling or a family card game, always with a small wager and a smile. Forever an eternal optimist, Robert quietly and often anonymously blessed the lives of others through his unfailing generosity and kindness.
Survived by wife, Heide Lund and daughter Elisabeth, and his children, Robert Charles IV (Leslie), Russell K. (Shauna), James Judd (Amy), Tiffanie (Craig) Anderson. His legacy includes 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, one brother, Thomas Judd, one sister, Mary Jean McGhie and son, Rex Douglas.
A celebration of his life and his goodness will be held in an LDS Memorial Service Saturday, November 27th, 10:00 a.m. at the Cimarron Ward, 5980 S. 1300 W., Taylorsville. Friends may call Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in memory of Robert C. Lund III.
