Gold's Gym of Utah and its parent holding company, Body Firm LLC, on Monday said they have purchased the Lifestyles 2000 fitness centers in the Salt Lake market.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In July, Gold's Gym purchased the Orem location of Lifestyles 2000 at 340 E. 800 South, which was a precursor to the acquisition of the four Salt Lake Lifestyles locations in Sandy, West Jordan, Van Winkle (Murray) and Sugar House. All four Lifestyles 2000 locations will remain in operation but change to the Gold's Gym Fitness name.

With the acquisition, Gold's Gym will operate 12 gyms along the Wasatch Front. A 13th location is being built at 8020 S. 1300 East in Sandy.
