Austin Jay Humphries 1983 ~ 2005 LEHI, UT - Austin, 22, passed away March 13, 2005 after a car accident in American Fork Canyon, Utah. He was born Jan. 29, 1983. Austin has gone home to his Father in Heaven, his sister Tanya and his Grandma Humphries. From the moment he was born, he was always on the go. He didn't want to take time to learn how to crawl so he leapt into walking and running to keep up with his sisters. He loved his family. He went to Shelley and Highland Elementry schools, Mt. Ridge Jr. High and Lone Peak High School. He worked in Alaska in 2001 as a tour director. He attended UVSC before going on his mission to the Canary Islands, Las Palmos Mission 2002-2004. Since coming home he has attended UVSC with plans to transfer to BYU after another summer in Alaska. He was well known for his lively imagination and adventurous behavior from sliding down hillsides on used ironing boards to rock climbing in the canyons. He is survived by his mother Terry, father TJay, sister Autumn, grandfather James Humphries, grandmother Eileen Shepley, grandfather Charles Shepley, many aunts, uncles and cousins who will remember his fun, happy, loving personality. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 12 noon in the Highland 11th Ward, 4679 West Wasatch Dr (11200 North). Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N American Fork and from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
