KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Westminster College men's basketball team will play in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament today.
The Griffins, 21-9, will face Oklahoma Baptist, 23-10, at 9:45 a.m.
Westminster was seeded as the 12th team overall out of the 32 participants. Sixteen teams are seeded; Oklahoma Baptist is not one of the seeded teams.
Last year, the Griffins upset Lubbock Christian in the first round for their first-ever tournament victory.
No. 5 Georgetown, Ky., (26-5) plays Georgia Southwestern (22-8) at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The winner of that game will play the Westminster/Oklahoma Baptist winner, in the second round, at 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Westminster wrapped up its Frontier Conference schedule with a semifinal loss in the conference tournament to Lewis-Clark State College.
Wednesday, No. 16 Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) defeated Lewis-Clark State 79-71. Also in the NAIA tournament from the Frontier Conference, Carroll (Mont.) defeated No. 11 Concordia (Calif.) 85-72 on Wednesday.
