For the third consecutive season, Utah junior Kim Smith has earned All-America accolades. Smith was named Honorable Mention All-America by the Associated Press Wednesday. Smith, the three-time Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, led the MWC in scoring and rebounding this season, averaging 17.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Smith set a new Utah single-season scoring record this season, tallying 606 points. In addition to her scoring and rebounding totals, Smith was ranked in the top 15 in 12 of the 13 individual statistical categories listed by the MWC. She was a two-time Mountain West Conference Player of the Week in 2004-05. As both a freshman and sophomore, Smith was named Kodak/WBCA Honorable Mention All-America. The WBCA will award its All-America honors later this month.
