Obituary: Janet Eileen Marsh Shattuck

Janet Eileen Marsh Shattuck 1936 ~ 2006 Janet Eileen Marsh Shattuck passed away January 27, 2006 at American Fork Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born August 14, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Rex and Donna Marsh. She married M. David Shattuck August 4, 1955, in the Logan Temple. Janet grew up in Southern California. She met her husband, Dave, while attending BYU. They lived in California until 1991 when they relocated to Utah. Janet was active in the LDS Church and held many leadership positions in Relief Society, Young Women and Primary. She was also a ward pianist and organist. Janet enjoyed oil painting, playing the piano, and teaching piano to her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother to her four children, and enjoyed living in Alpine close to her family. Her family was her greatest source of joy. She was a good wife and best friend to her husband. Survivors include her husband, Dave, Alpine, UT; children, Mark (Linda) Shattuck, Hollister, CA, Rick (Denise) Shattuck, Hollister, CA, Doug (Alyse) Shattuck, Alpine, UT, Donna (Brad) Belnap, Alpine, UT; father, Rex (Ann) Marsh, Orem, UT; sisters, Joan (Miller) Gardner, Alpine, UT, Mary (Jonathon) Tibbets, Kaysville, UT, Kathy (Mark) Calkins, Orem, UT; brother, John (Brenda) Marsh, Murray, UT; and 18 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Renshaw Marsh; and one granddaughter, Ja-nae Alyse Shattuck. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Mountainville 5th Ward, 910 South High Bench Road, Alpine, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 N. 900 E. American Fork, Utah (located four blocks north of the Mount Timpanogos Temple) and 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services Wed-nesday. Interment, Alpine City Cemetery.
