Velma Hullinger Norton 1921 ~ 2006 Velma Hullinger Norton, 85, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away November 8, 2006 after completing her earthly journey. She was born February 2, 1921 in Bennett, Utah, the daughter of Harvey and Cora Auleen Mullins Hullinger. On January 12, 1938, Velma married LaMar Norton in the Salt Lake Temple. LaMar preceded her in death, March 15, 1996. Preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters, Roland, Orvel, Venice, Errol, Reid, Revoe, and Valois. All that had the privilege to know her knew the deep love she had for music in all forms, especially her talent for playing the piano and teaching others to appreciate it also. Velma was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many ward callings throughout her life. Both Velma and LaMar were blessed to serve as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple. Velma is survived by seven children: Verdis (Bonnie) Norton, Sandy, UT; Dea (David) Miller, Salt Lake City, UT; DelMar (Connie) Norton, South Jordan, UT; Ralayne (David) Lundberg, Dahlonega, GA; Kordell (Rene?) Norton, Twinsburg, OH, Wade (Debbie) Norton, Palatine IL; Shauna (Gregory) Butler, Bozeman, MT; 36 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren; one sister Eula Jones of Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
