Sports Capital Partners LLC on Monday completed its acquisition of Salt Lake-based radio station KALL, 700 AM, from Clear Channel Corp.
Terms were not disclosed.
Sports Capital Partners, owner and operator of Real Salt Lake, is led by Utah native Dave Checketts and partners Dean Howes, chief executive officer of RSL, and former Madison Square Garden executives Ken Munoz and Mike McCarthy. SCP also owns Running Subway Productions, a producer of live events.
SCP said it plans to increase University of Utah's broadcast presence — the station carries U. football and men's and women's basketball games — and add coverage of Real Salt Lake, including game broadcasts.
KALL will continue to broadcast from its current location in the Clear Channel building.
