Born November 16, 1925 to Emer and Leona Arbuckle at their pioneer home in Woods Cross. He was raised in this home his entire young life. Howard was proud to be a graduate of Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah. Howard served his country with great dedication in the U.S. Navy. His service took him to the South Pacific during World War II on a destroyer, the USS Schroeder, where he saw action in many places such as Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war he met Beth Nelsen, they courted and were married in the Salt Lake Temple September 17, 1948. As newlyweds they built their own home in Bountiful where he lived the rest of his life. Together they explored their many talents including years of woodworking. Howard was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. Howard was a dedicated businessman and worked hard to provide for his family. He worked for years in the appliance and electrical business and opened the first branch store of Johnstone Supply in Salt Lake City in 1959. He enjoyed time spent with them no matter the place. Howard's real love was for his family. They will greatly miss him.
