Jean Isbell 1932 ~ 2006 RICHFIELD, UTAH - Jean Isbell, 73, of Richfield, Utah, passed away February 25, 2006, in Richfield. She was born September 2, 1932 in Richfield, Utah, the first of twins to Kenneth and LaPreal Magleby Isbell. Jean communicated with the outside world through letters sent to pen pals. She learned braille and wrote to Helen Keller for over 18 years and others such as Maria Von Trop (for whom the Sound of Music was written). She has received autographed pictures from over 900 world famous people. She loved people and her association with them. She is survived by her sisters and brother, Joan (Wayne) Herlin, Orem; Sherie (Mervin) Iverson, Las Vegas, NV; Mary Lee Harrison, Richfield; Victor (Ce) Isbell, Las Vegas, NV. Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Byron Harrison. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield 7th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
