Dorothy Muir Clark 1922 ~ 2006 Our incredible mom, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and friend passed away peacefully February 2, 2006 in her home surrounded by her loving family; she spent her last moment on the phone with her special niece, Kaylou. Dorothy was born August 5, 1922 in Rock Springs, WY to Pete and Emma Muir. Dorothy married Adrian B. Clark September 22, 1942 her sweetheart for all of time and eternity. Dorothy worked as a telephone operator in Rock Springs, WY. When she moved to Salt Lake she worked for Auerbach's and later retired from First Security Bank. She spent her life serving others. She held several positions in the LDS church including ward compassionate service leader for the past several years. She dedicated most of her recent time and services to the Midvale Senior Center and served as President of AARP for her very successful chapter. She loved being involved in her community; she volunteered her time to Daughter's of the Utah Pioneers, Midvale Peer Court, Elections and countless other organizations. She was recently acknowledged for her dedicated service with the AARP "Outstanding Utah Volunteer of the Year 2005" award. She loved playing bridge with her friends and games with her family. She has returned home to her sweetheart, Adrian; parents; sister, Ethel; brothers, David, Pete (Dottie) and Louis Muir who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Gary (Tammy) Clark West Jordan; daughter, Janeene (Jay) Peppinger Murray; grandchildren, Aliesha (David) Clark-Curtis West Jordan; Keesha (Aaron) Brentel Salt Lake; Gary Ben Clark West Jordan; Blakely; Taylor Peppinger Murray; sister-in-laws, Isabell Muir WY; Ilamae St. George; brother-in-law, Wade Horn; numerous special nieces, nephews and friends. She is a proud great-grandma of Mikayla, Jimmy, Taylor, Davey, Brendan, Cameron, Madison and Ciceley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 7, 2006, 12 noon at the Midvale East 5th Ward Stake Center (240 East 7570 South). A viewing will be held at Redwood Memorial (6500 South Redwood Road) Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Midvale Senior Center, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers or a charity of your choice in her honor. Our special thanks to the angels at Hearts for Hospice.
