The case:
Kiplyn Davis, 15, vanished from Spanish Fork High School on May 2, 1995. Her items were still in her locker.
For nearly a decade, Davis' disappearance was the biggest mystery in Spanish Fork until local and federal law enforcement uncovered what they say is a conspiracy of silence among a group of people, some of whom were classmates of Davis.
Last year, five men were indicted on counts of perjury before a grand jury and lying to a federal agent regarding comments about moving a female's body and creating false alibis.
Olsen, 28, is the first to stand trial in Davis' disappearance.

Wednesday's action: Kiplyn Davis' parents testified of their desperate search for their daughter after she went missing at school. An FBI polygraph expert testified that Olsen confessed to him that he and co-defendant Rucker Leifson took Kiplyn up Spanish Fork Canyon and came back without her.
What's next: More testimony by witnesses who claim Olsen started telling people he killed Davis and buried her body.
Tidbit: Utah County Attorney Kay Bryson attended the trial Wednesday. He has filed one count of first-degree murder against Olsen for Davis' death in state court.
