Obituary: Carl Hayden Church

Carl Hayden Church 12/1/1937 ~ 1/18/2007 SERVICE TIME CORRECTIONS!! Carl Hayden Church passed away January 18, 2007 from pancreatic cancer, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born December 1, 1937 in Kanab, Utah to Hayden and Sytha Church. He graduated from Kanab High School (which is much larger than Holden High) and the University of Utah. He married Lynne Hunter, daughter of Earl and Lavon Hunter, in the Salt Lake Temple January 17, 1966. Carl was the proud father of four sons and eight grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Lynne; children, Brett (Lesa), Brandon, Corbin (Kara), and Ryan (Michele); sister, Evelyn (Rex); Lavon, his favorite mother-in-law; and many extended family and friends who love and will miss him. The family would like to thank Andrea and Alex from Willow Creek hospice, and Drs. Kurrus and Harker for their loving care of Carl. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Mon. January 22, 2007 at the Wasatch LDS Stake Center, 8170 S. Short Hills Dr. (3425 E). Friends and family may visit an hour prior to services. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd. (7600 S).
