Diane Sheppard Evans passed away Oct. 20, 2007, after a valiant battle with cancer, in Salt Lake. Born March 19, 1951, in Seattle Washington, to Norval Douglas and Jeanesse Hanson Sheppard. Married Jack Occie Evans on June 18, 1982, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Her house was party central. She was known by the family as Cupcake Queen. She was an amazing aunt to all her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband; father and stepmother, Douglas and Marilyn Sheppard; brother and sisters, Norval (Debbie) Sheppard, Sandi Warner, Karen (Ronald) Holmes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tues., October 23, 12:00 noon, at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 S. State, Murray). There will be a viewing Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens.
Family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Occie Evans Memorial Fund in care of Jordan Credit Union.
