DoxTek Inc. announced Thursday that it has a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in DocuNet and merge DocuNet into DoxTek's operations.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Michael Miles will continue as chief executive officer and president of DoxTek. Scott Whittaker, Donnetta Mitchell and Mary Rappleye, all founding members of DocuNet, will serve on the merged company's management committee, focusing on the service bureau and scanning related services aspects of the company.
Based in Orem, DoxTek specializes in high-speed scanning systems, information management, business process automation and custom integration solutions.
DocuNet, headquartered in Salt Lake City, focused on high-speed document scanning and custom PDF formatting bureau services.
All DocuNet employees will retain their positions and will continue to work in the Salt Lake office, DoxTek said in a statement.
