Cory David Clegg "Gone Fishing" Cory was born on April 24, 1964 to David E and Jean Clegg. Cory returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father relieved of his earthly trials on May 12, 2007. Cory was a loving son, brother, father, world's best uncle and husband. Cory married Rhonda Hardcastle on Aug. 11, 1988. He was very talented carpenter and very mechanically inclined. Cory took pride in his physical fitness and health. Cory competed in body building competitions and took 1st place in a Novice Mr. Utah competition. He always felt he was invincible; nothing in this life was going to stop him. He also enjoyed and found peace fishing, hunting and in the outdoors. Cory was a loving father of two beautiful daughters Heather 13 and Sydnee 1, who were the apples of his eye. He was a fun loving uncle that loved his nephews and nieces. Cory was a very loving person always thinking of others. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be missed by all that were blessed enough to have known him. He leaves his daughters Heather and Sydnee, wife Rhonda, parents, mother-in-law Roberta Emery, father-in-law Raymond Hardcastle, sister Lisa (Troy) Norton, brother Brian (Leilani), and many other family members and friends. Funeral services for Cory will be held Fri., May 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jordan Oaks 3rd Ward Chapel, 7875 South 4000 West, West Jordan, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Jordan Oaks 3rd Ward Chapel and at an additional viewing at the church on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will take place at the West Jordan City Cemetery. Funeral Directors- Warenski Funeral Home of American Fork, Utah. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made.
