Erie firefighter John Fatter rescues Dan Mello, 15, from the entrance to the Mill Creek Tube Thursday in Erie, Pa. The Tube is a 2 1/2-mile-long concrete tunnel that sends water from Mill Creek under the city of Erie to Presque Isle Bay on Lake Erie. Mello and two friends got caught in a torrent of storm water, but all were rescued.
