Galveston resident Claire Gergora waves Saturday as the Carnival Cruise ship Ecstasy pulls into the Galveston shipping channel for the first time since Hurricane Ike struck in mid-September. "I'm so happy they're back," said Gergora, "it is like we are finally getting back to normal." The ship and others like it had been sailing from the Port of Houston's Bayport facility.
