Parley Heber Liddle, Jr.
Parley Heber Liddle, Jr., age 95, of West Mountain, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Mtn. View Hospital.He was born August 3, 1912 at McGill, Nevada to Parley Heber and Elizabeth Winder Liddle.
He married Clara Irene McAllister, July 29, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death April 8, 1999.
He served an LDS Mission to Australia. Church service included: service on the General Board Dance Committee; Bishop in West Valley City for eight years; veil worker at the Provo Temple; lifetime involvement with The Boy Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver and President of the Winder Family Organization for many years. He loved to teach the gospel and participated in genealogy and wrote family histories. He worked at Winder Dairy for many years and operated his own dairy with his sons and grandsons for 30 years.
Survivors include: a daughter-in-law, Linda Liddle, West Jordan; his children, Carol (Michael) Johnson, Albany, Oregon; James (Marilyn) Liddle, Logan; Joseph B. (Sylvia), Thomas E. (Wendy) Liddle, all of Payson; 25 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his son, Gordon Liddle; two brothers and 5 sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 17, 2008, 12:00 Noon, in the West Mtn. 3rd Ward, 902 West 400 North, Payson. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. or at the church Thursday, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
