The Danish film "Terribly Happy" has won the top prize at the 43rd International Film Festival in the Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary.

Director Henrik Ruben Genz's film contains elements of horror and western genres and centers on the story of a policeman sent for disciplinary reasons from the capital to a provincial town.

The film was chosen out of 14 contenders for the Crystal Globe by the festival's seven-member jury led by director Ivan Passer. Saturday's award also includes a $30,000 cash prize.
