In the days before the bottom-line bean counters took over, broadcast visionaries like Arch Madsen, Sid Fox, George Hatch and others made the "Golden Age" of television what it was locally. Recently, Channel 5 and Channel 2 prepared nicely for the retirements of Nourse and King. Channel 13 has established trust and gained loyalty by staying put with Bob Evans and Hope Woodside. But Channel 4 hasn't had an anchor Dream Team since the days of Allan Moll, Carrie Cochran and Dave Blackwell. Many good people have gone through KTVX but haven't stayed. It's too bad to see Terry and Susan Wood leave.

I wish all my friends on the TV side of broadcasting a better 2009.
