SALT LAKE CITY — "The End" has come to its end: KENZ radio (FM-101.9) changed formats Wednesday, switching from an adult alternative music format to "Gen X" — with a focus on music from the 1990s.

The new music format is also music intensive and has no live DJs.

According to AllAccess.com, the station, owned by Citadel Broadcasting, also let most of its staff from the previous format go. include morning show host Jimmy Chunga, who had been with the station since it debuted on Jan. 1, 1996, and two others.
