Rodolfo Antonio Acevedo1951 ~ 2012Rodolfo Antonio Acevedo, 60, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012, in Puente Alto, Chile, as the result of a short struggle with gastric cancer. He was born on June 13, 1951, in San Antonio, Chile, to Rodolfo and Margarita Acevedo, the second of seven children. He is survived by his wife, Soledad, his four children, Brenda (Clint), Rodolfo, Jr. (Johana), Charles and Cristobal and five granddaughters, Janaina, Juliana, Sofia, Victoria and Fernanda, his mother, brothers Ricardo and Humberto, and his sisters Julia and Marisol, many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and friends throughout the world. He was preceded in death by his sister Melba, his brother Charles Nelson and his father, Rodolfo. His funeral was held Saturday, February 18, 2012, in San Antonio.In 1968 Rodolfo, together with his mother and older sister Melva, were baptized members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; by 1970 the entire family had accepted the gospel. At the time of his passing, Rodolfo was the Church Historian of the Chile Area. His family, family history, the history of Chile and that of the U. S. were some of his passions.
