HUBER HILL AND THE GOLDEN STAFF OF CIBOLA,” by B.K. Bostick, Cedar Fort, $14.99, 288 pages (f) (ages 12 and up)

“Huber Hill and the Golden Staff of Cibola,” the third book in the Huber Hill series by Utah author B.K. Bostick, is a noteworthy book for middle schoolers.

Desperate to find a city of gold, a corrupt governor named Coronado needs to find someone that can interpret a complex language that will reveal the way there.

In order to find the golden city before Coronado does, Huber and his friends have to follow the clues left in legends to find a magical staff that will help them get there.

It is a mysterious book that appeals to young teenagers of any gender. Though it would help to read the two previous books, "Dead Man's Treasure" and "Brotherhood of Coronado," it is not necessary.

“Huber Hill and the Golden Staff of Cibola” is a clean book that is devoid of inappropriate language or scenes.
