Then the pile-up occurs, transforming the mound from desolate island to midfield party. In the NCAA baseball playoffs, staying alive gives new life in return, and every game gives the winning team an excuse to execute the movie-worthy scene. It's a cycle that continues as long as you're winning, at least enough to move on to the next round.
Now on the cusp of entering the Elite Eight, each win marks a greater achievement, more at stake and — in the end — more to celebrate.
Of course, some guys don't blindly rush in. Some, like the two separate dudes pictured after Louisville's victory, wait until they can claim top-of-the-pile status. Enjoy.
