Those three words were verified multiple times Tuesday night. Heck, they were verified a plethora of times in Game 3 of the NBA Finals alone. Just ask LeBron James (5-for-17 shooting) and the Heat (40.8 percent shooting overall).
The difference between "almost" (Miami) and "there" (San Antonio) couldn't have been more pronounced, with the Spurs cashing in on a ridiculous 50 percent of their 32 3-point attempts, an NBA Finals record.
Meanwhile, three different outfielders, two on the same team, were caught on camera making halfhearted and ultimately futile attempts at fielding eventual home runs.
NFL receivers are already re-learning the definition of "almost," whether it's not quite catching the ball — or the quarterback not quite hitting his target.
Two parties who nailed it? The U.S. men's soccer team and the person in charge of New York's sunset at the Mets game.
