O, not X, marked the spot.
That was the case at a recent Oakland A's batting practice, anyway. A home run, courtesy of Josh Donaldson, went through Overstock.com's "O" logo.
This is significant because normally — had the home run occurred in a game — the feat would have won a random fan $10,000.
The lack of fans or game setting, howver, didn't stop Overstock from dishing out the cash anyway. Instead of throwing the money at a lucky individual, the Utah-based company awarded it to the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps soldiers who have been wounded in combat.
The captured video, which includes Donaldson's celebration, made it even sweeter.
