A playground named in honor of a slain 6-year-old girl was dedicated on Friday. The Sierra Newbold Playground opened on Friday, in memory of Sierra, who was killed in June 2012. The Utah Jazz, Larry H. Miller Charities and the City of West Jordan also opened two new basketball courts at the Ron Wood Park, 5900 W. New Bingham Highway, in conjunction with the playground.
