Donny Osmond appeared on HuffPost Live Wednesday to promote the release of his 60th album, “The Soundtrack of My Life," which features covers of songs that have impacted his life as well as three original songs.
He spoke with host Nancy Redd about his 50-year career and why he takes the time to share his faith with others.
“I have such a firm belief in God and Jesus Christ, and I’m a true Christian,” Osmond said. “I want to be very careful that I don’t shove it down anybody’s throat, but on my website, you know, people ask me questions all the time. I call it ‘My Beliefs,’ and I tell them exactly what I believe in, and it’s kept me grounded in life. As long as you have a belief in a higher power, in God, and you recognize that, it keeps you humble. It keeps your feet on the ground. It keeps your perspective in life.”
Osmond said that he often solicits the help of scholars when faced with particularly challenging questions, and he then reads what they provide and crafts his response. He said that some of the questions are too personal to be posted on the Internet, but when he feels it is appropriate, he posts the questions and answers on his site.
