PROVO — For BYU wide receiver Mitch Mathews and his teammates, there is no age limit to dressing up for Halloween.

Mathews and his fellow Cougars imitated the stars from "Remember the Titans" for their holiday costumes, and they were spot-on. Jaterrius Gulley, Micah Simon, Ryker Mathews, Nick Kurtz, AJ Moore and Devon Blackmon joined Mathews to create college football's costume of the year.

It didn't take long for the Internet to take notice. Within hours, ESPN's "SportsCenter," Bleacher Report and even the NCAA tweeted out photos of the Cougars' Halloween apparel.

Mathews and his Cougar teammates became Internet sensations earlier this season after a Hail Mary against Nebraska. This time, though, their off-the-field antics earned them national recognition.

But it wasn't the first time the Cougars broke out phenomenal Halloween attire. Last October, they recreated the famous Utah-filmed movie "The Sandlot."

Despite a football-free weekend for BYU, the Cougars still found a way to make headlines. If Mathews and his teammates show up on your doorstep Halloween night, make sure to give them extra candy and ask what costume is in store for next year.
