Both BYU and Utah have had Wooden Award winners in the past decade. In 2005, Utah center Andrew Bogut received the honor and BYU’s Jimmer Fredette was the recipient of the award in 2011.

The 39th annual Wooden Award ceremony will honor and announce the men's and women's John R. Wooden Award winners the weekend of April 10-12.
