The Mormon Channel released a new installment in the "His Grace" video series Wednesday. The video — titled "Pornography Addiction: Is There Hope?" — features a woman named Elizabeth, who encountered pornography when she was 11 years old.
When she realized that pornography had become more important to her than her family, she was determined to overcome her addiction.
"I remember the first time I knelt in the most sincere prayer where I actually believed that Christ could help me," Elizabeth said in the video. "I remember praying, just setting small goals and praying just for what I needed right then, and it was the first time that I felt that God was listening to me and that he was real and would help me."
The Mormon Channel posted the following message below the video:
"People of all genders, ages and faiths are currently drowning in the debilitating effects of pornography addiction. Elizabeth’s personal experience is a reminder that no matter how lost in darkness one feels, hope and light are available to anyone who chooses to believe in Jesus Christ."
