"THE READY RESOURCE FOR RELIEF SOCIETY: Howard W. Hunter," by Trina Boice, Cedar Fort, $14.99, 160 pages (nf)

In 2016, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' Relief Society and priesthood classes are studying the teachings of the late prophet President Howard W. Hunter. Trina Boice has put together "The Ready Resource for Relief Society: Howard W. Hunter" to supplement the church manual for these lessons.

In this resource, each lesson has its own chapter including supplemental material such as hymns for the week's topic, quotes and LDS Church magazine articles. There is also suggested, music, video and artwork to enhance the lesson. Boice also includes object lessons for the teacher to use and weekly challenges for them to issue to their class.

Two teaching tools also included in each chapter are scripture mastery scriptures that relate to the material and corresponding chapters to study in "Preach My Gospel," another study manual put out by the LDS Church. Boice even includes a handout to be copied for the class.

The introduction explains all content as well as gives tips to become a better teacher.

This book is a great companion for the Relief Society instructor teaching out of the "Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Hunter" this year.
