The Zion Art Society recently announced the winners of the first annual Zion Art Competition.

First place went to Niki Covington, “Christ Calling Peter and Andrew;” second place, Walter Rane, “Let Me Go, For the Day Breaks;” third place, Jethro Gillespie, “Tally Mark Quilt;” and fourth place, Bryan Hutchinson, “Portrait of a Pear Tree.”

The Society Award went to Jeffrey Hein for “Triumphant Entry,” and honorable mentions were given to Paige Anderson, Laura Atkinson, Pam Bowman, Ryan Brown, Casey Childs, Nicholas Coleman, Howard Lyon, Gregory Mortenson, Annie Poon and Mary Sauer.

The winning art, along with more than 70 submissions, will be on display at Anthony’s Fine Art and Antiques, 401 E. 200 South, through Oct. 15. See zionartsociety.org for information.
